Listen: support energy debt

As we head into the winter months, new research has found that 8 in 10 (82%) people in Great Britain are concerned about their rising energy bills.

With a growing level of anxiety surrounding energy bills as we enter the colder months, almost half (46%) of people admit to feeling confused about the support available as household bills rise.

Over a third (37%) state that finding accurate advice on what support is available for people struggling with their bills is difficult to find – highlighting a growing need for face-to-face guidance for people facing uncertainty this winter.

To help reduce the anxiety many people are feeling about rising energy bills, British Gas has announced the second phase of the British Gas Post Office Pop-Ups, that will be available around Great Britain from October until December with additional events set to be announced in early 2023.

Ros spoke to Andrew Goddard, Post Office payments managing director and Jessica Taplin, CEO of British Gas Energy Trust.
