Mensa releases Savvy Shopping Quiz

Mensa’s first ever Savvy Shopping Quiz, a unique test created by Mensa and Aldi that reveals just how savvy, or indeed un-savvy, the nation is when undertaking household shopping.

Ahead of being made public, the Quiz was taken by a pilot sample of Britons, with a worryingly low number receiving a ‘pass’.

This question on the quiz, for example, was only answered correctly by a quarter: If a 1L bottle of juice, normally costing £4, is reduced by 25%, and a 500ml bottle of juice, normally costing £3, is reduced by 1/3, what is the cost of the best value juice?
