‘Museum of the Moon’ comes to Basildon
Museum of the Moon comes to Basildon on 4th February where there will be an event happening Tuesday 5th February at St Martin’s Church in Basildon from 4 to 6pm.
Creative Basildon are presenting the event which will look at the artwork Museum of the Moon by Luke Jerram.
This programme is inspired by Rowland Emett’s Cats Cradle Pussiewillow III kinetic sculpture clock in Eastgate Shopping Centre, and the closing lines of Edward Lear’s The Owl and the Pussycat: “They danced by the light of the moon.” Bringing the Museum of the Moon marks the launch of a year-and-a-day of programming connected to The Owl and the Pussycat.
Ari spoke to Hannah Stacey, communities manager at Creative Basildon.
