National Day of Reflection

End-of-life charity Marie Curie is calling for the nation to unite for a National Day of Reflection, to provide a moment to remember loved ones who have died, support those who are grieving, and connect with each other.

The third National Day of Reflection takes place on Thursday 23 March 2023, and is organised by the charity which provides care and support for terminally ill people.

New research from Marie Curie looks at the support network people feel comfortable reaching out to when experiencing grief, with a Partner/spouse (38%), Friends (28%) Parent(s) (19%) all people feel the most comfortable discussing their grief with. However, almost a quarter (23%) of people said if they were experiencing grief, they would feel least secure seeking support from their workplace – highlighting an area for necessary change.

Ros spoke to Claire Morris, head of fundraising for East of England at Marie Curie.
