Simon Calder on car hire abroad
At last there’s some good news for travellers — latest research shows the price of car hire this summer is more affordable than ever with holiday makers being told – grab a bargain and it could transform your holiday.
Figures compiled by Skyscanner, using the data from their car rental service across a host of European and worldwide destinations shows in some countries in Europe the price drop since last year is more than a third – Albania is 34% cheaper followed by Italy (26% down) and France (16%) cheaper).
Malta is the cheapest place to hire a car in Europe, costing just £20.68 per day.
Ros spoke to travel journalist Simon Calder.
