Surprising Essex town has worst air pollution in East of England

Air pollution in the UK is an issue of growing concern.

A database published by the World Health Organization found that Stanford-le-Hope had the worst levels of air pollution of anywhere in the East of England, with roughly 13 milligrams per metre cubed.
