The importance of a daily dopamine dose

In a world that’s dominated by uncertainty and negativity – a small dose of daily happiness can indeed go a long way.  In fact, new research shows that 83% of UK adults agree that they receive more happiness from the little things in life, rather than grand gestures.

The most common source of happiness stems from spending time with family (48%), followed by taking a walk surrounded by nature (28%) and experiencing random acts of kindness (26%).

Research undertaken by Capital One UK has found that more than half (53%) of adults say they don’t do enough to meet their happiness needs, which perhaps isn’t surprising given life’s demands and pressures – with two-thirds (66%) going as far as putting other people’s happiness requirements before their own.
