Wackiest wellness trends revealed
In recent years, the world of wellness has exploded, promising miracle cures and instant results with everything from detox teas to extreme diets. But alongside the rise of “quick fix” solutions, concerns about the dangers of confusing wellness fads have also grown.
Some of the biggest wellness fads of the year so far have now been revealed – with perineum sunning (22%), wellness vaping (20%) and goat or puppy yoga (20%) taking the top spots. 17% of active adults admit they’ve tried a strange trend this year, and the average person has tried at least three different fads or trends in their lifetime.
In fact, new research from Virgin Active has found that on average people see four wellness related posts a day on social media, with a shocking third (31%) of active individuals having bought fitness equipment which was trendy at the time, but that they now no longer use.
