What makes a good role model?

The 5 types of role models kids take inspiration from, from the ‘imperfect’ ones – who help children learn to take accountability, to ‘chameleons’ – who equip them with the courage to try new things.

Research shows the majority of parents worry their children don’t have enough positive role models in their lives.

The study, carried out by Lego in the build-up to the Women’s EUROs, also shows that children are now looking up to role models who break typical gender stereotypes, with over half saying it’s important the people they admire don’t conform with being a ‘typical’ boy or girl.
