New study reveals ‘hidden pet welfare crisis’ with 1 in 3 pet owners struggling to keep hold of their pets.

That’s according to a new study by national pet charity Blue Cross which warns we are facing a ‘hidden pet welfare crisis’. 

It found that 1 in 3 three pet owners are either struggling with or seriously worried about being able to care for their pet due to the rising costs of energy, food and vet bills.

Ros spoke to vet Ben Simpson-Vernon a.k.a Ben The Vet & Danni Shirreffs, pet rehoming manager at Blue Cross.
