Hello dear listener. A rather poignant edition of the show this week as we say goodbye to one of the greatest songwriters of all time – Burt Bacharach – who has sadly passed away at the age of 94. As Bacharach collaborated with over a thousand artistes during his tenure which began in the 50s, it wasn’t difficult to fill a two-hour show with a collection of some of his best tunes.
In hour two, the ‘Retro Rewind’ takes us back to February 1985, looking at the big news stories, TV shows, movies, and playing a selection of songs top of the official singles chart. Enjoy!
