One small interesting side effect of having been mainly inactive over the last few weeks is that whereas in most recent years I would have been fighting off hayfever around this time, I have hardly noticed it at all ! There’s not much chance of pollen finding it’s way up my nose whilst walking across the car park at Asda to do my shopping twice a week, nor on the stroll through a deserted Eastgate up to the studio to do my show. Personally, I start getting the signs around early to mid May and if I don’t take my usual medication by then, come June I am in itch and sneeze city! But this year, having been in the house about 90% more than I would normally be, I only got a slight reminder of my condition one day last week, which I kept at bay with some eye drops that I had bought and not opened a while ago. The nasal spray is now on standby, but with no reason or desire to go out anywhere grassy in the near future I may just get away without a full on attack in 2020 …. fingers crossed !
This week’s repeat play of the show will be aired on Gateway ‘as live’ as usual from 5pm this afternoon (Saturday) and I am pretty confident you won’t hear any “seasonal sniffles” in between the songs !
