It seems the Lotto gods have been on my side lately – in four of the last five weeks I have matched two of the six numbers and received an email on Sunday excitedly telling me that I have won a “Free Lucky Dip Ticket”. So, as I cannot remember the last time I actually won a cash prize playing the National Lottery, that pretty much means that I have doubled my chances of winning precisely nothing !! My £2 of course does go towards worthy causes, but I think I would rather have matched three numbers on just one of those four weeks and pocketed thirty quid … or even better match all six and never have to play again !!!
