Neil Gits A Screw Loose

I took a walk into town today, deciding not to take my usual route, but be a bit more adventurous and go a longer way through some of the footpaths I never normally use. It seemed a good idea to take advantage of a particularly pleasant January afternoon, but the main reason was to get my new glasses looked at – I’d only had them since October and one of the lens had popped out ! The optician did say to come back any time if they need tightening with their special screwdriver, but I wasn’t expecting to be back there quite so soon …

The lady there gave me a good telling off after asking me a few simple questions . Apparently, it is NOT a good idea to stick your glasses on top of your head when you are not actually using them as it stretches the frame and makes the screws work loose – as I found out the hard way ! Luckily, I did catch the screw when it popped out, although she said they have plenty of spares for just such a scenario, seems I am not the only naughty boy …

Anyway, all was easily fixed and an hour and a half later I was back home, thoroughly invigorated with fresh air and leg muscles well and truly tuned up for a busy week ahead of driving and adventuring ! So back in the office, wheels were set in motion for preparation of next Monday’s live 7pm show, ideas flowing into my head which was nice and clear after my stroll.
