Neil Gits A Scrubber In

4th December 2021
Posted by Neil Matthew

I’ve defintely had a year to remember – for all the wrong reasons ! Hopefully in time it will be a memory to confine to a dark little box at the very back of my mind, never to be opened again. However, over recent weeks a lot of work, tme and effort finally seems to be coming to fruition on a project I first embarked on last winter. I just needed to fine-tune a couple of little areas before completing the final lap … and that involved getting someone round my house to do some serious cleaning !!

As you will probably know, getting a tradesperson to visit you this last few months is a nightmare, not least because they are all so busy with work trying to catch up on jobs that they haven’t been able to do in 2020 / 2021 – and professional cleaners are no different it appears ! It was mentioned that I should “do it myself” but those people either don’t know me very well or hadn’t seen my house ! Luckily, one of my regular listeners mentioned something to me in a private off-line conversation and hey presto we had a deal – the end result being that my kitchen & bathroom look so smart now that I can’t stop washing up and taking showers !!

Doing my radio show each Monday has definitely helped me get through the toughest of tough years and I’d like to think that 90% of the time at least, you would have no idea what I have been going through – but I think over the next couple of weeks you might be able to get a hint of how relieved I am to be over the worst and keen to see the back of my own personal “annus horribilis” – listen out for some particularly uplifting joyous tunes !! In the meantime tune in to Gateway this evening for the ‘Repeat Play’ of last Monday’s show or visit our “Listen Again” area to catch up that way. Here is the most recent playlist :
