Neil Gits Accidentally Predictable

16th August 2020
Posted by Neil Matthew

I think you may possibly have noticed that we’ve had a flaming hot week over the last seven days or so, with temperatures consistently over 30 degrees – way too high for me ( I may have mentioned this before on an “Old Git Rant” ! ) But … if you can achieve the almost impossible and keep cool(ish) then the sunshine and the blue skies are a more than suitable scenario for listening to fabulous soul & jazz-funk tunes.

The summer weather has also inspired more than the odd song over the years & quite a few groups/singers have chosen similar names to record under too. When I glanced down at my playlist I was taken aback by the number of times it occurred last Monday – all totally uninentional, honestly !

Songs played included “Disco Inferno”, “Temperature’s Rising”, “Summer Madness” and “I Found Sunshine” plus the groups “Heatwave” and “Driza Bone” got a look in too. I couldn’t have planned it better if I tried !! Have a glance through the full playlist below and “sunny songs” or not, see if there is anything that will make you head for the “Listen Again” tab on the website and enjoy the latest show to keep you going until the next LIVE episode rolls onto the airwaves this Monday at 7pm …
