Neil Gits Away With It

We are all trying to save money wherever possible these days, whether it’s by using less gas or electricity at home, less petrol in the car or eating less food at meal times. For me, one way I’ve kept my bills a bit lower is by using less water in the bathroom. I do like a nice long shower and get some good ideas for songs to play on my show whilst lost in amongst the soap and music, so I don’t have shorter ones – I just do it less often !

Now that wouldn’t work for everyone, but I can quite often go several days in my life without leaving the house or seeing anyone for any length of time, so I am trying now to stretch it out to every three days , but making sure that if I go into a fourth day, I have a shower whether I need it or not ! Monday is usually a good day to skip a visit to the bathroom as I often get in and out of Eastgate without seeing anyone, but there’s always a chance Danny might still be around after his drivetime show. This week, I really should have had a freshen up before leaving home, but I was a bit pushed for time and took a chance, but luckily I slipped in and out without any awkward moments …

It will come as a great relief to you that despite all the numerous technological advances in recent years, nobody has invented a way you can smell a radio studio through the airwaves !
