It’s Springtime ! My trusty diary told me that last Friday 20th March was offcially the ‘First Day’ of the season and I was happy to be out and about on the roads in the sunshine, doing errands and taking photos along the way. It was one of those days when you stop & think to yourself that despite all the many issues we have to deal with in 2026, life can be good !
Not that I really needed my diary to tell me that is was Spring. I left my house for the studio last Monday with the sun still out, catching my first rush hour sunset over Wickford since the Autumn and parking up at Gateway ahead of my show still in proper daylight. We’ve certainly had worst Winters in the past few years, I only saw snow once, for literally five minutes whilst in Chelmsford in January and though there have been some very cold days, it seemed to go by reasonably quickly …
You can’t help but feel better at this time of year (if not actually ‘good’ – that’s a big ask at the moment !) and some super soulful tunes always tend to flow from by brain to the Spring playlists, so look forward to some extra special memories to be triggered by my selections from the 70s 80s and beyond and maybe discovering something fresh to your ears to enjoy as the temperatures rise and the days get longer, starting with tomorrow’s next live show from 7-9pm ! Here’s the playlist from last week …
