You might have noticed we’ve had some pretty warm weather recently, but while it put a smile on most people’s faces, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea … especially when it coincides with “National Insect Bite Week” ! I tried to get out in the not-so-fresh air last week but in the space of about three days I was attacked about half a dozen times, not badly, but just very irritating, each time it was those little red spots appearing on your arm or leg that you just NEED to scratch.
No problems this week, although I spent more time indoors anyway, focussing on preparations for the next epic show, as well as getting stuck into other personal admin chores, thankfully undistracted by he urge to almost draw blood scratching myself. The result, of course, is another lovingly crafted selection of soul, jazz-funk, reggae & disco from across the 60s 70s 80s 90s & beyond into the 21st Century, all of which should appeal to someone of “our age” and bring back a fair few memories along the way.
To take this musical journey, tune in from 7-9pm on Monday when the show first goes out live and join in the banter on Facebook at “The Old Gits Soul Show” page.
