Being the technophobe that I am (as well as being a seriously “Old Git” !) I get a cold chill down my spine when I arrive in the studio every once in a while and find that the computers have had an “upgrade” – I just know I am going to spend a large chunk of the show making the most minor of tweaks to various settings that will otherwise cause me major headaches for the weeks to come. I know, it’s just the way I am !! lol
And so it was that last week’s show was presented by a somewhat distracted Old Git, umming and ahhing during links whilst simultaneously scratching my head (multi-tasking is another weakness by the way …) desperately trying to remember how I fixed this and that problem the last time this happened. Not that too many people would have heard the show live as there was also another unfortunate issue with the online feed ! However, I am pleased to say that our fabulous team of engineers were quickly on the case and if you weren’t able to hear the show on 97.8FM last Monday, you can now catch up any time you like in the next couple of weeks by heading for “Listen Again”, selecting “Cool Soul” and playing the sections marked “Saturday 29th February” – even I can work that one out !!
The playlist and updated gigs list are both posted below as usual and of course I will be LIVE from 7pm tonight with a brand new show, so fingers crossed I can return to my usual high levels of professionalism and super slickness ! Ha ha ha ….
