If you’ve only ever listened to Gateway to hear this “Old Git” playing his favourite 70s & 80s Soul, Jazz-Funk and Disco records, why not have a look around our website today and see what else we are about – I think you’ll be quite surprised ! Not only that but it is all put together by volunteers from the local community, myself included, so despite what you might think going by the slick professionalism of my broadcasting skills (!!) – I don’t get paid a penny. In fact, we all have to pay a small annual subscription and I was reminded just recently that my fee was now due, thus explaining the large swarm of moths seen floating over Basildon Town Centre last week as I nervously opened my wallet !!
