Neil Gits Stubble

I have a bit of a conundrum when it comes to using a razor. I don’t really enjoy shaving, I often find myself doing it in a hurry in a rush to get out of the house and inevitably nick myself causing a little blood to appear … and the bigger hurry I am in, the larger the cut and the greater the amount of blood. Not a good look ….

However, I definitely don’t enjoy having facial hair – I don’t know how so many young people can put up with a big bushy beard which seems to have become fashionable in recent times ! But going out of the house much less these days, I have found myself skipping the odd shave (and shower !) thus developing “stubble”. Now there’s a real quandary – to shave or not to shave ! If I leave the stubble too long I am well on the way to the dreaded bear, but if I get the razor out too often we are back to the nasty nicks !

Thankfully, my valued listener is my motivation for “keeping it smooth” as I so want my radio show to sound ‘just right’ that the thought of any bristles brushing against the microphone in thestudio and causing an annoying scraping sound on air horrifies me, so you can be assured of the smooth soul tunes being presented each week with a smooth chin !!
