Neil Gits Through A Day Without Heating

It’s really boring to talk (or in this case write) about the weather, a very British thing to do and definitely not one of our more appealing national characteristics. I have had a very quiet couple of weeks, not being to keen to venture out and get a soaking somewhere or even attempt to attend a football match and risk the pitch being waterlogged meaning a postponement even before I arrive. Last Saturday though was the first time I can remember going to one this year and not having to dodge a brief shower at the very least, enjoying a nice dry sunny afternoon in Coggeshall and five goals … even better !

It’s been a miserable start to the year for many of us in various ways, but a little extra daylight, a couple of extra degrees in temperature and a few less inches of rain could lift all our spirits ! The signs are there that better times are on the way (meteorologically speaking) with green stuff growing in my garden again, birds flapping around and chirping outside in the morning and the need to turn the central heating on in my house first thing subsiding – hey, I actually went through a whole day this week without switching it on at all !

You’ll rarely hear me touching on anything too depressing and negative when I chat between the tunes on air – but I am an Old Git and can’t resist the odd brief moan now and again !! – so if you are after positive vibes and losts of feel good uplifting music, you know where to head each week.
