Not “years old” – though it feels like it sometimes this year ! – but the 500th show was duly celebrated last week and first and foremost a big “Thank You” to the numerous people who got in touch to show their approval of my efforts, whether hardcore listeners that have been there since the start back in 2010 or new names we’ve added to the “Soulful Roll Call” in recent weeks. You have really helped me keep going, this year particularly, and I am now chomping at the bit to get back in the studio for Show 501 tomorrow !!
So … expect the usual two hours of the good stuff from the 70s 80s & beyond covering soul, jazz-funk & disco plus a handful of the very best quality 21st Century tunes from in and around the UK Soul Chart and of course all your favourite features to keep things interesting and entertaining. Listen out for “The Tasty 12” , “The Soul Years” , “The Old Gits Jazzy Bit” & of course the ever present “Soul Soother/Mellow Moment” segues along with any other brilliant occasional ideas as and when they pop into my strange mind !
