Neil Gits To See The Sahara

Well, OK, I have been very adventurous on my travels this year, but I haven’t as yet set foot outside the UK in 2022 – nor do I intend todo so in the foreseeable future, there’s so much to explore and enjoy right here in England ! But last week, just like everyone else you speak to, I was able to get a close up look at the Sahara Desert as a large part of it (or so it seemed!) got blown over Essex and deposited itself on our cars. I was particularly peeved by this as my precious “Neil-Mobile” is generally safely tucked away inside my garage on a Wednesday afternoon when it all happened, but that day I had moved it onto the driveway and left it there after putting some washing the in the tumble dryer. Mind you, it’s a good job I don’t use a washing line – that could have proved REALLY annoying !!

Now that weird episode is behind us and most of the sand has been either blown or washed away by further rain, although I have kept a small circle of North Africa on my black wheelie bin as reminder of a very unusual day.
