Neil Gits To The Post Office

It’s one of many signs of the times I’m afraid – bank branches are closing down regularly as they think most people can do all their finacial stuff online so there is no need to go into an actual building. Well, I get paid in good old cash money for all my work and it needs to be physically paid in, so when my bank shut down my local branch last week I said to myself “Oh bother!” or something vaguely similar …

However, it turns out I can pay notes straight into my account at a Post Office and there’s one just a few yards away from where my bank used to be – result ! So off I trotted today with my weekend earnings, confident this week’s bills would all be covered but when I got there it was shut ! It would appear that Post Offices close for bank holidays too …

One thing you can rely on is that my “Old Gits Soul Show” will be on LIVE on your radio, whether it is a BHM or not, so for a soulful slice of normality, tune in at 7pm this evening and enjoy two hours of terrific tunes, mainly from the 70s & 80s, but this week also featuring a bumper bundle of impressive new cuts as well.
