Adjusting to life in 2020 has certainly been a challenge this year to say the least, but even so I was surprised … in fact, almost horrified ! … to find myself up and about this morning at 7.15am. For someone who is a habitual “night owl” and who used to go to bed after a long night’s work just 15 minutes earlier than that, it was quite a shock to open my eyes and find myself lying awake in bed almost two hours before the time I had set my alarm for !
I guess the fact was that having had such a quiet week, even by current standards, I simply wasn’t tired enough to sleep for seven hours last night. So here I am “back in the office” and chipping away at this week’s Gateway bits and bobs – it’s a good job I have “The Old Gits Soul Show” to keep me occupied for at least part of the week or who knows what state my body clock would be in ?!
Below is the latest playlist which you can hear broadcast this evening as a “Repeat Play” at 5pm on Gateway or “Listen Again” to right now via the catch-up section of this website. And I will be LIVE as usual with another painstakingly put together collection of soul, jazz-funk & disco tracks from the 70s 80s & beyond this Bank Holiday Monday at the regular time of 7pm – keep that time free in your busy schedule !!
