Neil Gits Woken By Birds

I needn’t have bothered setting my alarm for this morning – my lovely deep sleep was ended at 7.45am by one of my near neighbours hammering away at something, 30 minutes before I was due to get out of bed. I know I am a “night owl” and probably wake up normally a good couple of hours before 90% of the rest of the people in my street, but this was Saturday morning ! Luckily, I had a football trip planned and needed my McDonalds breakfast before hitting the motorways …

What was even more frustrating was getting disturbed from a much needed kip midweek over an hour earlier by what sounded like somebody scraping wallpaper off the wall right next door ! On that occasion it actually turned out to be birds on the roof directly above my head !! On the plus side it was a sign of Spring arriving (not that anybody has told the weather that so far !!) and they haven’t been a problem since, but I do need a good seven hours worth each night to function properly, even though I am not currently working and can always grab a nap mid-afternoon if needed !

The only time I get remotely close to doing anything resembling a job is on Sunday when I meticulously plan my next epic “Old Gits Soul Show” for broadcast Monday evening at 7pm LIVE on Gateway.
