Despite marking a year in lockdown, Brits remains optimistic when it comes to meeting new people and falling in love, according to new research from dating app Bumble.

Following a year of social distancing measures, an overwhelming two thirds (67%) of Brits now believe it is possible to fall in love with someone they have never met in person.

This comes as new research shows that dating in the pandemic consisted of meeting on dating apps (42%), voice notes (26%), video call dates (19%) and socially distanced walks (18%), showing the power of the digital dating scene.

Aston spoke to 2020 Great British Bake Off contestant Lottie Bedlow and Naomi Walkland from Bumble to discuss more about the research and also the future of dating post pandemic.
