The UK is set to bake in one of the hottest spring heatwaves on record, and after months cooped up indoors, picnic season has finally arrived!

In normal times, us Brits have over 94 million picnics every year, but with 1 in 4 of us planning a staycation this summer, that number is expected to increase dramatically. In fact, 20% of Brits admitted that due to the lockdown, they will never dismiss the simple pleasure of a picnic again. 1 Staycations are in, restrictions are out, sales of campervans have soared, and supermarkets are reporting record sales of finger food. 3 So, with al fresco dining on trend this summer, what makes the perfect picnic?
