Virtual team-building events soar during lockdown

Research found that one third of Brits who have been working from home now feel disconnected from company culture, rising to 40% within Generation Z.

This could be having a negative impact on employee satisfaction. 54% of employers believe strong work relationships improve company culture. This proves to be true with 36% of workers saying they look forward to going to work when they work with a friend, and 31% feel stronger and more valued.

Not only is a close work force good for its employees, it can also be good for business efficiency. 89% of workers at companies that support well-being initiatives are more likely to recommend their company as a good place to work. Additionally, studies have shown productivity increase by 20-25% in organisations with connected employees.

Aston spoke to Kate Healy, founder of virtually together to discuss this trend and shed some light on why it is so important to keep our workforce connected.
