We have all spent the best part of the last 18 months looking out for friends and family more than ever before during the pandemic. Yet new figures released today suggest we need to be on guard now to help keep friends and family safe from scams.
New data collected by SEMrush on behalf of Lloyds Bank found that the number of people looking for help for family and friends who have fallen victim to online scams rose by a quarter between April 2020 and April 2021. People seeking advice after being scammed has more than doubled increased in the last year.
