2020 has been very difficult, especially for non essential shops that had to during the first lockdown back in March and now during this lockdown.

Non essential shops have had to operate online throughout this second lockdown. But one shop has managed to stay open during this second lockdown. That is because they are selling outdoor Christmas decorations and trees.

Chimes Home & Garden are based in Laindon on the A127 near the Fortune of War roundabout and throughout this second lockdown they have been allowed to stay open as they’re selling outdoor plants. The garden furniture sales are taking place online, but when it comes to outdoor Christmas trees, customers can purchase without the need of entering the shop.

Aston spoke to Grant who is the sales and online manager at Chimes Home & Garden to find more about the shop and also about how they’ve been coping during lockdown.
