Local cafe partners with Basildon Mind for April

2nd April 2024
Posted by Aston Avery

Today B&D’s announced the launch of their partnership with Basildon Mind for the Month of April.
The independent cafe will be raising money all month, with dedicated posters and digital screens around the cafe raising awareness of Basildon Mind and the services they offer. Customers are able to donate in-store with a collection pot or online with QR codes across their cafe and online platforms.

Basildon Mind works across Basildon, Billericay & Wickford – “reaching out to all people in need of Mental Health support in our local communities.” They know that improved mental health and wellbeing leads to better outcomes for people of all ages and backgrounds including improved physical health, greater life
expectancy, better educational achievement and increased employment opportunities.

B&D’s chose Basildon Mind because 1 in 4 of us will have a mental health issue this year. Whilst affiliated with national Mind, Basildon Mind is an independent charity helping people in our local community to have better mental health and wellbeing for more than 50 years. Basildon Mind listens, gives support and advice, and makes sure that everyone who experiences difficulties with their mental health gets the
respect and support they need, to stay well. B&D’s is a local much-loved independant cafe, open everyday between 8am-2pm, serving up Full English Breakfasts, Homemade Classic Lunches, Sandwiches,
Toasties and Paninis, Omelettes, Jacket Potatoes, etc. It is also known for their “biggest breakfast in Essex”.

With employees and customers within the community being supporters of MIND. B&D’s are launching this alongside their new Community board, where local businesses/charities and members of the community, are able to pin their cards and posters, with a small voluntary donation being encouraged to their charity of the Month.
