It’s been a long old year full of ups and downs but on Monday the next stage of the roadmap easing comes into effect which sees more businesses open their doors and friends and family being able to socialize inside for the first time.

Heart-breaking new research from Buzz Bingo has revealed the true impact the last year has had as 4 in 10 pensioners haven’t seen or socialised with friends face-to-face in over 10 months.

The research also revealed that 63% of pensioners feel much safer now people have had the vaccine with almost a quarter originally thinking it might one or two years before they see others again. 4 in 10  said they missed going for a coffee or tea with friends most during lockdown.

Aston spoke to Adam Cunningham, regional director of Buzz Bingo for South of England.
