“During April Autism Awareness Month I was so pleased to be part of the book launch today with Aston and his mum and dad on ‘All things Autism’

I have known Aston since 2015 watching him blossom and was honoured  to be asked contribute to ‘From a Tear to Here’.

Our second guest was Melanie Leahy her son Matthew tragically died, aged 20, in November 2012. He was found hanged in his room at a mental health unit in Essex. Melanie has been seeking answers for 9 years but says her fight isn’t over yet… please see her website if you would like to sign her petition and read about her story . http://www.curementalhealth.co.uk/

One of our guests DCI Dion Brown shares :
‘It was great to join Anna and Aston on Gateway Radio to discuss the collaboration between Anna’s charity and the Metropolitan Police and what we did to mark World Autism Awareness Week. This  is the beginning of what I hope to be a long standing relationship. I’m very excited about the upcoming work with Sean Kennedy around stop and search. It was nice to speak about my personal experience as a parent of two autistic children, I could have spoken to Anna and Aston for hours’

We will keep you posted on how we progress with this project.

So excited to be back in Gateway Studio with Aston in May. Thank goodness we are getting there light at the end of this very long tunnel. Keep safe and well everyone.”
