Dr Hilary Jones on how a clothes clear out can help young people with cancer

Most of us have spent lockdown at home in our pyjamas or sportswear while our usual everyday clothes just sit gathering dust. So perhaps now is time for a much-needed clear-out, putting your pre-loved clothes, accessories and homeware to better use.

TK Maxx has launched its latest Give Up Clothes for Good campaign, encouraging us to donate our under-used and unwanted items to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK for Children & Young People to help more people aged up to 24 survive cancer with a good quality of life.

Every bag of quality items you donate – to be dropped off at special donation points at your local TK Maxx store – could raise up to £25 when sold in your local Cancer Research UK shop. Since the beginning of the partnership, TK Maxx has raised more than £37 million for Cancer Research UK’s work into cancers affecting children and young people, through customer donations, merchandise and fundraising.

Aston spoke to Dr Hilary Jones to discuss the Give Up Clothes for Good campaign and how your donations can help more children and young people survive cancer with a good quality of life.
