Research reveals the top concerns for workers heading back to the office. As workers are encouraged to head back to the office by the end of September, employers are being asked to reassure their staff and implement measures that will prevent the spread of Covid-19. Yet it seems workers are still wary when it comes to going back to the office.
Topping the list of concerns is the journey into work, with near to 1 in 2 (48%) of us apprehensive about our daily commute. Going to the toilet is also causing anxiety, with 43% of people worried about shared and mixed loos. Another major concern was co-workers not taking social distancing seriously.
However, despite the increased anxieties, it seems people have missed office life, especially in the capital. Over 2 in 3 (74%) of Londoners say they have missed being around their colleagues and 43% of people felt they needed to be back in the office to bounce ideas off one another.
Aston spoke to Itay Banayan, VP of Real Estate and Projects at Mindspace to discuss the research & how the workspace may look in the future.
