John Baron MP has today congratulated Jodhpur Indian Kitchen in Basildon for being Highly Commended in the Tiffin Cup competition, following Mr Baron’s nomination earlier this year. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t selected to represent the region in the Grand Final of the Tiffin Cup 2019. The restaurant will receive a certificate and embroidered Tiffin Cup 2019 apron to mark their achievement in this year’s competition.
The Tiffin Cup champion will be chosen from a shortlist of 11 restaurants, each representing their region of Britain, on Tuesday 2nd July 2019 in the Grand Final cook-off in the House of Commons.
John Baron MP said:
“I am delighted that Jodhpur Indian Kitchen has been Highly Commended in the Tiffin Cup. It is unfortunate that they did not manage to reach the Grand Final, but to get this far is testament to the fantastic efforts of all the staff. I certainly enjoyed my meal with them recently.”

“It gives us immense pleasure to get recognized by this prestigious award and our sincere thanks to John for nominating us, and the support of all our guests is truly appreciated in the journey that’s coming close to a year now. Hopefully we will be able to make into the Grand Finale next year! We strive to provide the best of Indian food along with a fantastic selection of drinks. Our restaurant is a great venue for parties, events, large groups and we provide catering services as well.”
