Essex Police have arrested two men on suspicion of aggravated burglary following a 999 call in Basildon yesterday, Tuesday 18 August.
The police received reports at 1.19pm that a man had forced their way into a property in Emanuel Road before making demands for items and threatening two people inside.
By 1.24pm – five minutes later – we were by behind the vehicle and in pursuit.
The car drove the wrong way along the A130 before the car was abandoned in Rawreth.
Essex Police arrested a 29-year-old man from Broxbourne and a 54-year-old man from Southend on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
The man from Southend was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
They have been bailed until Tuesday 15 September.
