Gardens open up in support of St. Luke’s Hospice

26th May 2023
Posted by Aston Avery

Local gardens will be open to the public to enjoy this summer as part of an Open Gardens fundraising initiative organised by St. Luke’s Hospice.

Taking place from June until August on selected dates, Open Gardens will see a number of local people generously open up their gardens to help raise funds for the Hospice.

Each garden is uniquely cared for and looked after, and visitors will have the chance to see a variety of plants and nature at each of the gardens. Entry is £5 per person, with money raised for St. Luke’s Hospice helping to ensure the ongoing provision of specialist, compassionate palliative and end of life care, where and when it is most needed.

To mark the start of Open Gardens 2023, St. Luke’s Hospice will be opening its own garden at its hospice in Basildon on Saturday 3rd June from 1pm to 4pm. As well as marvelling the gardens, there will also be a variety of items available to purchase included uniquely designed bird boxes and refreshments.
