Gateway’s Johnny Jenkins attends King’s Coronation Garden Party

Gateway 97.8 Editor Johnny Jenkins attended the King’s Garden Party, just days before the Coronation.

The event, held at Buckingham Palace, welcomed hundreds of volunteers from across the country.

Johnny represented Gateway, recognised for its training of young people and broadcasting during the Covid pandemic.

The station’s longest-serving volunteer Kurt Wilson will attend the palace next week.

Johnny said: “With the Coronation just days away, there was a buzz in the air at Buckingham Palace today.

“It was a real privilege to see the King up close, as well as the Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Kent and Gloucester – the latter who has visited Gateway before.”
