Here’s the latest sports news from Tommy Bennett.

Arsenal are planning to allow fans back into the Emirates Stadium for the Premier League game against Sheffield United on October 3.

Arsenal will introduce a ballot system to select season ticket holders who will be able to attend the home fixture against the Blades at a reduced capacity based on government guidelines

Basildon United FC will kick off their 20/21 season on the 19th September as they host Suffolk side Bury Town in the Isthmian League North Division . There first away game will take place on the 26th September as they travel to Romford FC. The Bee’s have recently beaten Phoneix Sports Club 2-0 in a pre season friendly.

East Thurock FC were victorious by 3 goals to 2 yesterday evening as they travlled to local rivals Tilbury FC in a pre season fixture. The fixture is an annual match for the Robin Nash Memorial trophy which East Thurrock retained. The rocks also start their league campaign on the 19th with a visit to Chesnut FC.

In Cricket, Essex Eagles were defeated yesterady for the first time in over a year as they look to retain their T20 Vitality Blast Crown. They hosted Hampshire CC in their third T20 match and remain winless after losing by 5 wickets. The wicket takers for Essex were Aron Nijar with 2, Paul Walter with 1 and Simon Harmer with 1. 

Stanford Rugby Club Ladies have recently partenered up with the Charity, Oddballs, to not only rasie awareness for testicular cancer but also cervical cancer. The club will be selling hats and will need 50+ sales to be able to get involved. All of the money that is recieved for the hats will be donated towards the charity. Be sure to help out and buy a hat as it is going towards a great cause.
