Here’s the latest sports news with Tommy Bennett:

Novak Djokovic was disqualified from the US Open last night after hitting one of the line judge with a tennis ball. The World number one had his serve broke by Pablo Carreno Busta in the fourth round of the tournament before taking a ball out of his pocket and striking it towards the line judge. Djokovic has said he is “extremely sorry for creating her such stress”.

England cricket team won their T20 series against Australia yesterday with one match to remain. The Lions won by 6 wickets but it was batter Jos Buttler who stole the show for England. Buttler opened the batting for England and remained in bat for the whole innings picking up a score of 77 runs off of 54 balls to guide England to a 2-0 lead in the series. It has been confirmed that Buttler will not feature in the final match as he will be spending time with his family.

Concord Rangers FC picked up a historic win in the FA Trophy Semi-Final over the weekend as they beat Halesowen Town 2-1. The Beachboys found themselves a goal down early on in the first half but an own goal and a brilliant volley from Alex Wall inspired the boys in yellow to victory. The final will take place at Wembley Stadium on the 27th September and Concord will face either Notts County or Harrogate Town.

East Thurrock were in pre-season action again on the weekend as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Waltham Abbey. New signing and former Tottenham youth player Zenon Stylianides made his debut for the rocks and was the goalscorer of their second goal with Nathan Koranteng scoring the other. However, another new signing, Mike Agboola, was unable to finish the match after a head injury which saw him leave the field in the latter stages of the game.
