Metal welcomes Dionne Bromfield to Village Green

On Saturday 13 July, Metal are delighted to welcome to Village Green UK soul artist Dionne Bromfield. Recognised with a prestigious MOBO nomination for her album Good for the Soul, Dionne is a powerful voice on the British soul scene.  

Singer/songwriter Dionne Bromfield released her first album Introducing Dionne Bromfield, in 2009 on Amy Winehouse’s Lioness Records label. She first came to public attention after performing on Saturday night favourite Strictly Come Dancing with Amy Winehouse on backing vocals. 

Bromfield attended the Sylvia Young Theatre Schoolin Westminsterand will be known to younger festival goers for being a former presenter on Friday Download.

At Village Green, Dionne is the special guest of The Space in Between stage and will perform at 7.25pm as the evening sessions begin across the festival site.

Tickets for Village Green are on sale now. As in previous years, 500 free tickets are available to holders of Southend Council’s Advantage Card C. These can be picked up from the Southend Borough Council reception – just have your Advantage Card C ready to show.
