More than £4,500 has been raised for St. Luke’s Hospice at the charity’s annual Christmas Market on Sunday (17th November).

This year’s Christmas Market, which was held at The Chichester Hotel in Wickford, boasted a wide range festivities, including craft stalls, live music and Santa’s grotto. The popular event attracted visitors of all ages and refreshments were provided by The Chichester Kitchen.

Joanne Phillips, Community Fundraiser at St. Luke’s Hospice, said:

“This year’s Christmas Market was bigger and better than ever before! The day was a huge success and we are so pleased with the amazing amount of money we raised. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited and to all the volunteers, as without you it wouldn’t have been possible.”

Money raised at the Christmas Market will help St. Luke’s Hospice continue to support people in Basildon and Thurrock living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, friends and carers. The Hospice offers care for those living with or affected by cancer and any other advanced, life-threatening illness, and care is given within the Hospice or at home, wherever that may be.

The Christmas Market is just one of the many fundraising initiatives organised by St. Luke’s Hospice. If you’re interested in taking part in a fundraising event for the Hospice, contact the Fundraising Team on 01268 524973 or email [email protected] or visit our website www.stlukeshospice.com
