Wildfest: Rewild your Child!

Essex Wildlife Trust is hosting a ‘WILD’ children’s festival at their Thurrock Thameside Nature Park on Saturday 17 August, in order to educate and enthral children about wildlife and nature. The day will be full of activities from 10.30am – 5.30pm, including giant bubble blowing on the roof, music making, nature tots free play area, face painting, under the sea workshops, a beach combing experience and making a plastic rubbish sculpture. There will also be food and drink stall and a picnic area.

In addition, there will be a range of workshops available throughout the day that can be booked in advance. These 45 minute workshops will run at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm, for a donation of £3.50 each.

Workshops include:

  • Fire lighting and cooking
  • Pewter smelting
  • Slime making
  • Potions and spells
  • Flying fish windsock
  • Rockpool creatures
