Three arrested following stabbing at Festival Leisure Park

Three people have been arrested following a stabbing at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon.

Essex Police were called just before 4.45am this morning, Saturday 14 March, to reports that a man in his 20s had suffered a facial injury and a stab wound to the back whilst near Bella Italia.

He remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital.

Officers worked quickly to identify several people believed to be involved and, as a result, a 22-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker and two men, both aged 25, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Essex Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the assault to come forward and speak to us.

We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been driving around the area at the time and has dash cam footage.
