Please join the Aveley design workshop and play a key role in shaping how Aveley will grow and develop to best support the local community.

This will be the second of a series of interactive workshops that offers a hands on opportunity for residents to help shape where they live, learn and work. Topics will include thoughts on where community and work spaces, schools, parks, roads, play areas and homes should be placed and what they should look like.

During the first workshop in November, residents discussed Aveley’s best features, potential problems, and its future possibilities. The second community design workshop will ask participants to help judge on options and plans for the town and provide an opportunity to see how previous suggestions have developed.

Cabinet member for regeneration, Cllr Mark Coxshall, said:

“This event will put the residents and businesses of Aveley at the very heart of the designing and shaping the future of their town. It’s a chance for residents to tell the council what they want to see and will help us to unlock the borough’s potential through high quality and community-driven development while protecting the places we value.”

The drop-in event will take place at St Michael’s Church, 46-58 High Street, Aveley on Monday, 13 January from 2pm until 8pm. Refreshments will be provided and children are encourage to join in.
