Thurrock MP made a Dame in Liz Truss’ resignation honours list

Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle-Price has been awarded a Damehood in Liz Truss’ resignation honours list.

The Conservative MP has represented Thurrock since 2010. She is a long-standing friend and supporter of Liz Truss, who served just 49 days in office.

Speaking to Thurrock Nub News, Dame Jackie said she was ‘rather touched and very surprised’ at the honour.
